Naturally, none of those players would play strumming all the time or finger-picking all the time. 3 acoustic and 3 electric guitars (1 lead and 2 comping respectively). I want to have 6 guitar players in my template ready to play as needed (I like to think of these VIs as people). Kontakt 5 player empty pro#
I must mention I'm using Kontakt 5 via VE Pro in a slave computer. I discovered I can distribute them among the 4 page buttons tabs, but even then, it all looks like a mess.ģ.- When I load a multi (nkm) in the second button of the page buttons in the Multi Instrument Header, some members of the multi load on page 1 and others on page 3 or 4, and not in page 2 where the multi was dragged. Is there a way to at least put color on some of them to distinguish them? Otherwise all I see is a big bunch of similar instrument tracks (headers) and it's slowing me down. I mean, this sort of works, but if a guitar instrument consists of several multies (pick, strum, finger) then I'd have to use one channel for each, and it's not very efficient, especially if I'm trying to have all guitars ready for my template.Ģ.- Also, I HATE IT that all the instruments look the same. I also tried loading both patches in different MIDI channels. Is there other way to do what I want, even if it's more complicated?ĭoes anyone have another suggestion to do what I want?

Is it only supposed to work with single instruments (nki) and not with multies (nkm) ?

I tried it like the manual instructs, but the GUI won't let me drag the multi (nkm) in the bank window.
Kontakt 5 player empty Patch#
The idea is to be able to change instruments with patch changes using the same MIDI channel, so I can switch from a strumming patch to a finger pick style, etc. Similarly, if I right-click a knob in Kontakt, I can select "Learn MIDI CC Automation," but I can't get Live to send a signal to Kontakt that it can use to establish the right connection.I know some of you are heavy Kontakt users, and I'd like to ask you a few basic things.ġ.- What I want to do is load my Pettinhouse guitars in a new BANK. When I do so, I get a message saying "To add parameters to this panel, click on them in the plug-in's window." However, when I click on the knobs in the plug-in's window, nothing happens. You're probably going to tell me that it's obvious: Click the little triangle in the instrument's window at the bottom screen to expose the "Configure" button, then click it. How can I get Live to control that same knob within Kontakt? I launch Live, create a MIDI track, put Kontakt 5 in that track, and load the same instrument. Now I want to do the same thing within Live. On that instrument's control panel, within Kontakt, I right-click a knob and select "Learn MIDI CC# Automation." Now I turn a knob on my controller and doing so turns the knob within Kontakt's control panel. I launch Kontakt 5 standalone and load an instrument into Kontakt. I have a MIDI controller connected to my computer. In particular, it happens with SonicCouture's "Geosonics" library.

What I am about to describe happens with some sample libraries but not others.
